Hi, is it possible to copy a private view from one user to another without having to mark the view as common view? Thanks.

Hi there, I'm afraid this is not possible - at least for a moment.
Usually private views are such that users create those for themselves.
Of course the user could grab a screenshot of the filters and settings and send that for the colleague so that could be duplicated.

As a matter fact, the September release helps with this greatly.
Please review the release notes:
Tried September Release and it works, but wouldn't it be helpful to also copy the selected columns of the view? Same with common views, why would I want users to set the columns themselves?
Edit:
I know I can use the "Save As Common Display Settings" option for Common Views but then I still have to reset the view for the other users manually even if I checked "Remove all users' custom display settings in this view".
And when sharing a Private View this isn't even possible, so the recipient has to select the columns manually..
When using Detail Listings and you create a new Tab as Common View there isn't even an option to save the Common Display Settings..
IMHO this is very confusing and incosistent..
We are working on improving the Share Private View functionality to include also the columns that has already been set by the creator of the view. Stay tuned for this!
Great, but will there be also improvements for Detail Listings Addon, cause there it is not even possible to remember columns at all..
