M-Files Web - New Web - Problem with Choose from list Properties

Hi all,

In the New M-Files Web, when typing a word in Cyrillic in properties with data type Choose from list, it doesn't filter and show the matching entries so that you find easier the one you need to choose.
Users have complained about it recently after the last update, it used to work before.
It now works only in Classic Web and M-Files Desktop (both Cyrillic and Latin characters are recognized) .
The new web manages to filter values in Choose from list properties only when you are typing in English.
The problem is we have properties with values in Cyrillic and filtering while typing doesn't work. When you have 50+ values, you cannot always see the ones you need, so typing to filter the list and show you the matching entries is valuable for us.
Has anyone come across this problem?

  • I can't see an open tracker item for this.  I would strongly recommend that you raise a support ticket to get this looked at, as this is not the mechanism for reporting possible bugs.

  • Hi Craig,

I confirm the above bug. When using Cyrillic in a Choose from list, it does indeed behave as described, regardless of the browser or the browser's system language.

It also does not depend on a specific structure and/or data.

Support ticket 02393101 has already been raised.

A possible workaround is to downgrade to version 23.9., but it is not recommended.

PS I wonder why it doesn't give a warning that the database doesn't match the version of the server when downgrading
