M-Files Client error: Idicates two revision levels are incompatible

Hi there one of my colleague is having the following error "Indicates two revision levels are incompatible". It pops up when she tries to open the document vault. Operating system is Windows 7, and M-Files version is 7.0.2589.6

These are the details:

CoShellView.cpp, 4911, Indicates two revision levels are incompatible. (0x8007051A)
ShellFrameWnd.cpp, 342, Indicates two revision levels are incompatible. (0x8007051A)
TasksDialogBar.cpp, 187, Indicates two revision levels are incompatible. (0x8007051A)
VaultTaskPaneConfigurationOperations.cpp, 37, Indicates two revision levels are incompatible. (0x8007051A)
TaskPaneConfiguration.cpp, 168, Indicates two revision levels are incompatible. (0x8007051A)
(M-Files 7.0.2589.6)

When I try with different account it works with no problems. But when I try a different PC with the above account it gives me the same error. And this is only when using the M-Files Client there is no problem logging in through web browser.
Have anyone ever come across this error and can you give me some advice on what to check?

Thank you
Hristo

  • One interesting thing is that this issue appeared after downgrading from v.8 to v.7. Even our Guru's did not had any ideas about this problem. So the solution was to simply create a new account with the same permissions as the previous.

May I ask, what was the reason for downgrade of the client software?
The reason for this issue is most likely that you have some chenges at the M-Files Client's taskbar area. Try to reset it to defaults. This should help.

After selecting "reset to defaults", you need to make a choose between common defaults and program defaults. Select the program defaults.
