Two questions for IML Network Folder Connector

Hi all,

1.I have set IML Network Folder Connector and I was able to access and edit the files in the file server via M-Files Desktop.

But I cannot create a new folder or file into the file server via M-Files Desktop .

Is it working as designed?

2. As you know, the class of all files via IML Network Folder Connector is unmanaged object.

And I need to change the class of these files to convert to managed object one by one.

Can I change these files to managed object at once?

Thank you for your help.

Yes, it's working as designed: currently you can access and edit existing documents on the network drive via Network Folder Connector but you cannot create new files or folders via the connector. This option will hopefully be added later when we add new features to the Intelligent Metadata Layer.

    2. Currently, you can promote multiple objects by selecting the objects in the listing and then adding metadata to the selected objects. You cannot promote files recursively and you cannot promote files on the server-side. M-Files Discovery add-on service can also automatically promote objects. Other mass-promotion improvements are on the roadmap.
