Maximum Number of Documents per Listing

Hi Everyone!

M-Files lists documents in 500 items intervals. Is there any way to make this a larger number?

In Advanced Vault Settings -> Configuration -> Search -> Limits ->

I see something like "Maximum Number of Documents per Listing" which is 500 (default)

I have changed this to 1000, 2000, 4000, but nothing happened.

Is this the setting I need? What did I wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.

  • Thanks guys for the replies. Unfortunately none of them works.

I have tried everything, restart, unmount. The 500 limit stays.
From the client side it is possible to limit to 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, but not above 500 items.

I am positive this is the setting I need. Could be a bug?

  • I have exactly the same problem.
I believe the "Maximum number of documents per listing" setting is broken.

Other settings such as "Maximum Number of Search Results in Paginated Group" work fine.

Did you file a support ticket? Was it acknowledged as a bug?

  • I'm trying to make sense of the document Managing Search and View Limits, but it lists settings that don't exist:

  • Hi, did you managed to resolve this ?

I am actually facing the same issue. Few years back, we increased the limit to 2000 for the view listing. But now, we would like to increase up to 2500. I did restarted the vault, clear the local cache but the value still maintain 2000

  • Just figured this out. In short, if you have a common view and you have customized the column and save as common display setting, your new limit may not be reflected. In this case, you may need to reset to program default. However, this will remove all your column but the new limit is now reflected. Then, you just need add all the column accordingly. Not sure the reason behind this.

This only impacts the existing view. No issue if you create a new view as the new limit will be reflected.

  • I am happy that this works for you now. Unfortunately for me it still does not work. I have tried all. But thanks the info nonetheless.
