Recapping our Austin Block Party

A message from our Founder and CEO, Antti Nivala:

Last Wednesday was certainly a momentous day here at the M-Files headquarters in Austin, Texas! We hosted an Austin Technology Block Party, which was an exciting evening that brought together local technology and business leaders with members of the Austin Chamber of Commerce and a delegation from the Finland Ministry for Foreign Affairs, led by Mr. Mikko Hautala, Ambassador of Finland to the United States. It was a night filled with networking, great conversation, and most importantly – fun

As part of the Block Party, we held our official ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of our new downtown Austin office and North American headquarters, where I was joined by Ambassador Hautala and Laura Huffman, President & CEO of the Austin Chamber of Commerce. Also included were Justin Kim, M-Files CFO & COO, Bob Pritchard, M-Files CRO and M-Files board members Nancy Harris and Jim Offerdahl.

As if we weren’t already in great company, we were thrilled that the local NBC affiliate, KXAN-TV, joined us as well to capture the moment.

It was an honor to have Ambassador Hautala join us for our Block Party and office opening, along with the delegation that included Ms. Kirsi Airio, Special Adviser to the Minister, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Mr. Kari Puurunen, Counselor Unit for North America, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Mr. Antti Niemelä, Minister Counselor, Section for Sustainable Growth and Commerce, Embassy of Finland in Washington DC, and Ms. Suvi Järvelä-Hagström, Cultural Counselor, Embassy of Finland in Washington DC.

At M-Files, our mission is to help enterprises manage and secure the ever-increasing amount of data brought on by digital transformation with our metadata-driven document management platform. We are ecstatic to “officially” join the Austin tech scene and look forward to being a member of the Austin technology community for many years to come.
