Microsoft has released a new preview of their Outlook application. There is no schedule on this, but as the previews are already available, the launch could come anytime.
With this launch, Microsoft is changing the way they support Outlook add-ins. They want parity between the desktop and the web client, so the new desktop client is dropping their support for COM add-ins. The M-Files add-ins are COM add-ins and therefor currently do not work with the preview of the Outlook. This affects all M-Files add-ins for Outlook.
Action Steps:
For now, you can keep using our add-ins by not opting into the new Outlook preview. The eligible Outlook version should show a toggle at the top right corner which allows the user to switch between the preview and the currently released version.
