This release will be rolled out to different regions in phases. The first rollout takes place on September 17 (France) and the following ones on September 24 (Germany, USA, Canada, Singapore, Switzerland, APAC), and on October 1 (UK).
The August 2022 release of M-Files Hubshare contains many improvements to UX, performance and security:
- UX: M-Files Hubshare now uses the latest Bootstrap version (v5). In addition, many parts of the UI have been improved, for example My profile, Settings, and Project.
- Performance: M-Files Hubshare now uses the latest Angular version (v13) and the latest .Net version (.Net 6). This major technical migration could come with significant performance improvements, but also offers more opportunities in having a viable and robust product.
- Security: M-Files Hubshare now uses the latest Angular version (v13). In addition, the outdated libraries, for example the old version of jQuery, are no longer used.
- Security: M-Files Hubshare cannot be embedded in and iFrame anymore.

Improvement: Possibility to use single sign-on with OpenID and as an external user

Description: In addition to SAML 2.0, users can now log in to M-Files Hubshare with OpenID. Both internal and external users can now log in with these single sign-on protocols.
NOTE:
- External user single sign-on is supported only with Private cloud instance or an On-Premises instance of M-Files Hubshare.
- Customers already using SSO with SAML2.0 needs to re-configure the Redirect URI configured in their Identity Provider for the existing configuration to still work
- Reason: SAML2.0 third party library has been upgraded
- The new Redirect URI can be found from Hubshare -> Settings -> Company -> Single sign-on -> Manage Single sign-on -> Identity protocol: SAML 2.0 -> Show metadata -> Assertion URL.
- An alternative approach is to reconfigure the SSO from scratch using the dedicated interface in Hubshare.
Improvement: New Hubs tab in Reporting
