Is there a best way to replace several PDF files?

A client I work for started using M-Files for document management but didn't really include any training so I've been feeling things out...

I was told 2 things by the coordinator I work with, 1) you CANNOT delete ANY files, and 2) to replace PDFs you MUST drag and drop onto the existing PDF of that same name, one by one... however this leaves so much room for user error, not to mention it is extremely time consuming when you have 50+ PDFs to replace each time.

So, I'm wondering, is there a better way to replace multiple files without creating a copy?

  • It's probably worth speaking to the reseller who helped install M-Files.  What you're describing sounds like an overly error-prone and manual process.  I guess my question would be around where those PDFs come from, why they're being updated outside of M-Files, things like that.  Are you able to elaborate a little on the wider process at play here, rather than the specific act of updating the PDFs?
