I am in need of creating an Assignment that will assign to a group of people automatically. We have a group of analysts that will need to peer review configuration changes. Whenever a Peer Review is needed, an Assignment will be created manually. Anyone of the config analysts can complete the peer review. I would like to have the Assignment automatically assign to the group when created, instead of having to manually select each config analyst individually.
I have created a new Assignment class = Config Analyst Peer Review. I am not seeing a way to set the Assigned To field as anything but a single user. Is it possible to update the Assigned To field of the assignment to a user group through a workflow? I have tried creating a workflow that would go from No State to Assign to Group, that just sets the Assign To as a group. This works...but the Assignment Description and Deadline metadata that was originally entered disappears after it goes through the workflow.
