Visitor links : Can I restrict the creation to passcode-protected visitor link + notifications ?

Hello !

We would like to activate the visitor links on our M-Files vault. However, we would first like to make sure it has some restrictions so that sensitive documents do not end up in the wrong hands.

One of the restrictions we would like to add is that the users can only share passcode-protected visitor links. Can we configure that somehow ? 

Moreover, we would like to receive a notification when a document with certain classes is shared. For example, when a document with the class Confidential is shared, it should send a notification to our security manager. Is that manageable ?

    Thanks for the feedback! At the moment it's not possible to only enable passcode-protected visitor links as the feature depends on the visitor links to anyone (previously called public links) being enabled as well. We have recorded an improvement request (ID 170053) to make this possible in the future, I've added you as a requestor.

    Visitor link sharing does not generate any notifications itself, but these events are recorded to the vault event log (events such as "Public link created" and "Public link accessed"). One option would be to export the event log from the vault for instance with the Log Exporter module and create alerts when these events happen with a third-party SIEM solution.
