How do I remove a document from a workflow?

If you are an administrator, you can at least use the "Change State (Admin)" option in the task pane on the left and empty both the workflow and state fields. The workflow is removed after you click OK.

If you are a normal user, I think the workflow needs to explicitly allow you to move back to (no state), after which you can remove the workflow from the metadata card.

I am able to remove the Workflow and the workflow state.

But as soon as I hit 'Save' they come back.

I am an admin.

Thanks Jonas.  This works.  I found the task pane on the left and was able to remove the workflow and workflow state
