Provider for External Database

I want to manage the object creation by using the excel file. I created a User/System DSN through Windows ODBC Data Source (32-bit). However, I can't find this option in M-Files admin when I choose to use Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers. Please advise me whether excel can be used for external database connection.

Instead consider loading the data from Excel into SQL Server or similar and importing the data from there.
