Search by Document Object Type only By Default

Is there a way that by default, only the document objects would show up when I do a search in the Client app?

There is a feature to select the object type in the filter tab, but it would be nice to have 'Document' object as a default.

There is also a setting Advanced Vault Settings\Configuration\Search\Excluded Object Types, but I tried to add 'Assignments' to the exclusion list and still show up in searches.
