I have a form that has 2 properties, request date and year. the user has to select a date and after that choose the year again from the value list of years. is there a way I can automate this? once the user selects the date, the year is automatically selected?
* I need the "year" property as I'm arranging my Mfiles client's folder based on years. *
You don't necessarily need the year in a separate property as you can group by year with the Request Date property. Something like this:
I added a grouping level in the view settings with the classic M-Files Desktop (this is not yet possible in the new desktop client).
This is the result, you get a folder per year and can drill down to the documents of that year:
