Hello M-Files community.
We realized that a file Size on server property keeps increasing by a great amount even when changes to the file are very small.
Say, for example, we have a .docx document, with 1MB size. If even just a letter is added to this file, the "Size on server (this version)" of the file increases by another 1MB.
While this example may not seem problematic, once we start dealing with bigger files and many changes, this issue adds up pretty quickly, and what was once a few MB file is now more than 1GB.
Is this normal behavior? Is there anyway to mitigate this issue? How does this work? Is there any reference material for this?
Database optimization runs daily. We noticed that M-Files automatically recalculates the value of the "Size on server (this version)" for previous versions.
