Actionable messages in email notifications

Indeed, I was referring to this exactly. My requirement is that you don't follow the regular "M-Files URL" but rather create such an email (HTML + json) so that the user can take action immediately. I assumed the buttons in the email can make use of M-Files' REST API to change the state of the workflow of the target object (maybe the External connector licenses is needed). 
Also, there seem to be some limitations in terms of email clients compatibility.

From a quick skim of the documentation it's not quite that simple, and may be something we need to revisit once we have a few other things in place (at least: to do this for everyone; I guess it could be done in a custom manner for individual vaults).  Certainly, as you said, for now, the email would need to include both the current content and also these actionable links (for maximum compatibility).

This is an option that top managers love. We did this for other DMS, some vendors developed this functionality on their own. It is a useful thing for customer satisfaction.
