Stop users changing the WORKFLOW of a class on metadata card

Question

Good morning, 
 Is there a way to stop users changing the workflow on the metadata card? 
 In particular, when there is no workflow assigned to an object, users are accidently adding a workflow; is there any way to prevent this? 
 I tried to set the workflow property as read-only through Metadata Card Configuration but this does not do anything 
 Thank you.

Hi! 
 If you are fine with not be able to see or change the permissions from the metadata, then you can hide the footer with metadatacardconfig setting. 
 You can also set up a errorcase rule in Property Calculator, and set it to changed property value and choose workflow and filter on class.
