combining into one document

Morning!
I've recently been hired to become the M-Files trainer. One component of my job will be to write documentation.

Can I do this in M-Files? I want to write 'chapters' and have those chapters combine into a single document.

Example: I write "chapter 1" in Word and upload that to M-Files. Now, I want a handout that includes Chapters 1,5, and 12. Then another doc with Chapters 1,12,5,8,2.

This is not a request for action. This is a discovery question to see if anyone has done this before.

Any thoughts?
Thanks for the ideas!

  • Hi Jenny,

Welcome to the M-Files family. :)

Something like this can be achieved either through something like our "PDF Processor", or through custom scripting. I would recommend that you speak to your M-Files account manager about these as neither are exceptionally simple to set up without some experience, and might incur an additional fee.

    Regards,

    Craig.
