Connection to SharePoint online

Hello everyone,

We are trying to connect our M-Files cloud vault to one SharePoint online site. We have already done the configuration but we are missing something. We can see our SharePoint document from M-Files but we can't promote it or open them. In the metadata section we have an error "Not found".

If we check the configuration of the SharePoint connector, we have two authentication issues that we don't know where to fix, the M-Files configuration guide doesn't tell us how to fix it:

We are new using this connector. Does anyone have an idea what is missing?

Thanks.

  • Thanks Joonas, that is what I wasn't doing.

  • Joonas, we have another question related to SharePoint, we will use this post.

We have an error when we try to promote a document from SharePoint to M-Files, if we promote the document to the default class "Document" on M-Files, the document is created without problems:

The last image is one document on SharePoint that it's been promoted, so is a new object on M-Files.

When we try to promote a document to a different class (not the default class "document") on M-Files, for example to the class "Financial statements" when we try to save and promote, we got an error "The folder 9 doesn't exist". We don't know which folder "9" this error is talking about.

Do you have any idea about this error?

    Thank you.

  • I haven't seen this error before, sorry. I suggest that you raise this with our support team (support@m-files.com).
