That's the one. The report does not open anymore...

I haven't tested this recently, but it is likely to be less to do with M-Files versions and more to do with PowerBI being embedded by the IE browser engine.  Does it show any errors at all?

No errors, just a "blank" page

So what I can see from this is that the web page was embedded (the logo and icon are there), but that it wasn't rendered properly.  This leans further towards PowerBI having stopped supporting the IE engine.  Indeed IE does not appear in the list of supported browsers any longer.

It is likely that this sample application needs to be altered to open the report in a separate browser window rather than attempting to add it as a tab.

I have tested this and can replicate the behaviour.  I'll make changes to the sample application.

The updated Desktop UI will use the same control, yes.
