Advanced Notification email formatting

Hi,

I wondered if someone could please help in formatting correctly the email sent out from using the compliance kit advanced notification?

I don't even know the language it uses.

I'm using the placeholders it provides and even the carriage returns in the placeholder window turn to just a single white space within the resulting email.

My properties definitions that are defined show correctly in the email, but not system properties such as these don't:

File Name = {FileName()}

Hyperlink = {NameAndLinksHtml()}

Plain Text Link = {NameAndLinks()}

Version = {Version()}

From Vault = {VaultName()}

Could someone please share some typical email formats for when a document is published?

Or any documentation on the subject for formatting the email.

Thanks in advanced,

Mark

  • Hi Mark, the Body (Template) property on the Notification Rule object types can contain HTML code. You can develop your HTML content using an HTML editor, preview the content etc. and then paste it in the property, where you can also insert placeholders for the metadata. I have attached 2 screenshots showing the notification rule object as well as an email received based on that template. You can also use HTML code for the footer section, which can be configured in Admin tool from the module's configuration panel.
