Prevent download for Named Users but allow update to MDC

Hi, 

Is there a way to prevent Named Users from downloading/saving/printing documents however, still allow them to change metadata properties and preview? Have already looked into

    There is no simple solution for this: the user needs edit rights to the object to be able to change metadata and if they have edit rights, they can also open the document for editing (i.e. download the file and possibly save/print it).

    The only (clumsy) solution I can think of is separating the metadata and the document file to two different objects which are related to each other: they would have edit rights to the metadata-only object and read-only rights to the object containing the file so that the Print and Download Prevention module would only allow preview. This might work for a specific use case (some limited number of confidential documents, for instance) but not really if the whole vault would have to follow this model as the user experience is not optimal.
