File source - delete file and re-import

Are there a lot of these files in the external folder? Could you temporarily move them to a different location, run the import, then move the files back to the monitored folder and run the import again? Perhaps this would re-trigger the importing.

Sorry another quick question, is there a way to capture the original date modified if OCR is turned on in File Source? I noticed that if the document is OCR'd, then i can not capture the original date modified

I don't know that, sorry. If this is important, a workaround might be to disable OCR in the file source and instead put the imported docs into a workflow where you run the OCR operation. This would create an extra document version though.
