Right click Add to M-Files options

When right clicking on a document and choosing Add to M-Files is there any way to add to an object class that can have files other than just Document classes?

We have many objects which allow files via the options below but the Add to M-Files functionality only gives the option of Document classes.

Thanks

  • The M-Files Desktop option "Add to M-Files" is a general context menu item. It lists the document vaults after clicking this context menu, and you can choose from the listed vaults. After that, at least, I am not aware of any possibilities to add features, as the context menu does not have the option to determine if you're logged in to the document vault, so the metadata content is not known at that point.

  • Unfortunately "documents" are a little different to other object types; even though you have object types that can have files, they don't behave the same way as the built-in class.  An example: drag and drop a file into M-Files and it'll only allow you to create a document.

I believe that this "Add to M-Files" context menu item works the same way: it'll only allow you to create a document.
