Looking at the page you provided, I updated the script like this:

oSearchCondition.ConditionType = 1
oSearchCondition.Expression.DataPropertyValuePropertyDef = 1154
oSearchCondition.Expression.DataPropertyValueDataFunction = 1
oSearchCondition.TypedValue.SetValue 2, 2021
oSearchConditions.Add -1, oSearchCondition

I was trying to set value to MFDatatypeText (1) instead of MFDataTypeInteger(2).

I would guide you to use the enumeration names rather than magic numbers, if you can.

I work in M-Files a lot and I honestly don't know what the numeric values are for the enumeration values.  The same will be true of people who have to maintain this script in the future.

I totally agree, but having the script in a .vbs file, did not work with enumeration names, and had to switch everything to numbers.

Yes, they will not work outside of the M-Files VBScript environment, that is true.

My longer-term guidance would be to invest in learning the Vault Application Framework via C#. 

We are developing apps with VAF already.

We needed a vbs specifically.
