unfortunately, this Extension Kit does not solve any of the problems in my question. My question was related to Digital Signature and it being recognized in a boolean value. 

There's not a built-in way.  I would assume that you'd need some sort of custom application that uses a library that can check whether the file is signed or not.  I'm not aware of one; I guess it may depend upon the exact file type being signed.

I suppose that's the way, developing a custom VAF :)
