Refreshing current search results listing after event handler runs on related object

Hi,

Is there any way to refresh the current search results listing when an event handler finishes running on a related object to the currently viewed object?

The event handler creates a pdf when a quote line object is updated. The user is viewing the related object "Quote". When the event handler finishes running the pdf that is being replaced still shows the old version in the current search results related to the quote. Is there any way to refresh this automatically?
