Changing existing metadata with XML

I would like to know if it is possible to change the metadata that already exists in the system by importing a new xml file, as I noticed that only the content is changed, but I need some way to also change the metadata that already exists in the object

    This may be possible with M-Files Importer which is a separate add-on tool not included in the standard installation. I suggest that you raise this with your M-Files reseller to discuss the details of your update requirements and find the best solution.
