I've seen a few forum posts that appear to skirt around this issue, but I don't see anything specifically making a request to add a feature for this.
I have a non-document type that I attach documents to - the reason for this is that I need a child object type to make this work properly and the hierarchy options aren't available for documents.
The only problem that I have is that when dragging and dropping to M-Files I can't select to create a non-document type object - I understand that this would always be limited to objects which allow documents to be attached but it would simplify what is currently a two step process into a single step so I think it would be useful.
