Keeping file names intact

As I create files in M-Files, the system adds the text "(ID ###)" to all files (not folders apparently, just files).
The ID's are hidden when I look at the files through the M-Files explorer, but other non-explorer based file handler see them (Total Commander and WinSCP for example), and if I take a file and send as an email attachment or copy to some other drive the ID-tag stay with it.

Is there a way to avoid the file name change?

Other than looking strange, it causes real problems when handling projects that have file dependencies such as presentations and web-projects.

Thanks,

If you are importing a lot of documents that have dependencies, one thing to try is "Paste as Multi-File Document." Multi-File documents have a lot of drawbacks, but are very quick and easy to create and in a lot of cases dependencies will still work in them (since M-Files stores them as real folders).
