slow preview

The preview is very slow to open, since the new machine using the M-Files. (Win 7 64 bit, M-Files 7.0.2589.6, MS Office 2010 Home and Business, PDF Creator, respectively. Acrobat 9 Pro on one machine). Office XP SP3 earlier in the 2003 version did not preview the documents (as it turned out, did not have), but the pdf is loaded in seconds, now it only plays, but plays hard and is a view of the document. This may be something set somewhere?

  • Just a guess, but because the Adobe Acrobat is installed, maybe the PDF previewing uses Acrobat instead of Adobe Reader?

How it performs if you compare the previewing speed in M-Files with the previewing speed of standard Windows Explorer file previewer? I.e. copy the pdf file to local drive and let Windows Explorer to preview it. Is it considerably faster than in M-Files, or equally slow?
