M-Files Server License and Version

Hello,

I just want to ask our license is M-Files 2018 and the version on the hosting server is "20.018669.3".

Automatic updates are disabled so no newer version or update was patched or installed. I asked our former IT 

if we can update or patch it, he said that we are using M-files 2018 license so he don't update the hosting server.

Is there any issues or will affect on the operations or any, if we update it to current version?
