In the M-Files Admin app, I am unable to run any processes. How do I fix this?

My company has a trial version of the MFiles Cloud application. There is only one user currently, me, and I have admin permissions.

We are currently testing the admin features and are having some troubles.

For instance, when I try to backup a vault, I am given the error "You do not have the access rights required by this operation".

Is there a configuration issue that I need to resolve, or is it that we only have the trial version right now and can't perform these operations in the trial?

We would like to test these features.

  • As far as I know the new cloud-based trial has been primarily designed to showcase the end-user experience in the web client. We may later expand the trial to cover also admin features but there are no concrete plans on this yet. If you have any questions about the admin experience, I recommend scheduling a call with our sales team.

    When it comes to backups specifically, you wouldn't need to manage these yourself on M-Files Cloud anyway. This is done automatically for you. You can read more about the cloud service in M-Files Cloud - Service Description.
