Access to M-Files Admin tool

Hi all,

As Admin tool is installed together with a server, I am wondering if it is possible to access Admin tool from remote environment (per Web). It would be hard to get access to production server to maintain and reconfigure everything all together. It would be great if Admin users could connect per web of somehow local Admin tool. Is this possible?

You can use M-Files Admin to remotely manage vaults but as it uses the RPC protocol for communication you need to configure the RPC over HTTPS proxy if you want to connect over the public internet (firewalls usually block RPC traffic).

If you already have RPC over HTTPS in place, or if you you are working on the same LAN as the server you can simply install the admin tool on your PC and configure a connection to the server just as you do in M-Files Desktop.
