A question about defining rules with a metadata card

How to define the condition: 'When the value of the metadata x (object type) is y, then display the metadata z (property)' on the metadata card 
and its value is mandatory to select (from the value list)?

    If the task really is to add a mandatory Property on all objects in a certain Object Type your best option is to edit the Class(es) under that Object Type and insert the new property as a required property in each class. That also allows you to place in the optimal order among the other properties.

    However, it is indeed quite simple to configure a rule in Metadata Card with these settings:
    Filter: Object Type Condition = "Y", object type operator = IsAnyOf
    Behavior: Properties, Property = "Z", IS additional = Yes, Is Required = Yes.

    It is not recommended to use this method for such general purposes. Metadata Card Configurations do not work equally well on all user interfaces.
