We have had a request to ensure that all templates stored in M-Files are set to read-only after they have been saved to M-Files.
These are added by adding the "is Template" property and selecting it.
Ideally we would want read-only permissions automatically applied to all staff, with a group of staff able to edit and delete templates.

I don't think you can use the "Is Template" property directly to set the permissions, but you may be able to do this via a second value list property which can be hidden from users.
The main idea is that you would use for instance metadata card configuration to set the second property value when "Is Template" is set to "Yes" and that value list would then set the automatic permissions. If metadata card configuration doesn't work, then Managed Properties module could be used instead.
Since you are working for an M-Files partner, you can ask the local partner team for help with the configuration if needed.
