In the past, there hasn't been an easy way for our customers to collaborate and share data with their clients. Sharing public links or sending documents in emails is sometimes enough, but they are not efficient ways to do bi-directional collaboration.
M-Files Hubshare answers this need. With M-Files Hubshare, you can build branded digital workspaces (hubs) for sharing up-to-date information and customizing the collaboration experience for clients and internal teams. You can use the M-Files Hubshare widgets (Explorer, Creator, View) to easily share M-Files content with clients. Clients can then view or edit the content based on their access rights. When you or your clients edit the content, the changes are immediately visible to both, thus giving everyone access to the latest, up-to-date information.
You can also use the M-Files Hubshare modules (Social, Project, Calendar, People) to further improve the collaboration experience.
We have identified that many customers would like to create their hubs in the familiar M-Files user interface. Customers also want to select who has access to the hubs and to define what is shared to them. For this purpose, M-Files Plugin for Hubshare was released in June 2022.
With M-Files Plugin for Hubshare, you can use M-Files to create hubs, edit the status and access rights of a hub, create Hubshare user groups and link users to them, and create internal and external Hubshare users. M-Files Plugin for Hubshare is an important enabler for many current and future M-Files Hubshare functionalities and we highly recommend it for all the M-Files Hubshare customers.
We have many awesome new features and improvements planned for M-Files Hubshare and M-Files Plugin for Hubshare. Here's a few of them, still targeted for this year:
- Improved single sign-on support for internal and external users (OpenID and SAML2.0)
- An audit panel for listing hubs and their information
- Check-in and check-out support for the M-Files widgets
- Office Online support for the M-Files widgets
