In our ongoing dedication to constant enhancement and ensuring optimal performance of our solution, we're thrilled to unveil the latest round of product updates for August.
New Features and Enhancement highlights:
1. M-Files Web: Set permissions manually.
- With the customized permissions, you can bypass object's predefined collection of permissions settings (also known as named access control list or NACL) and give users and user groups specific access rights as needed.
2. M-Files Web: Assigned and Checked out tabs
- M-Files Web now has tabs Assigned and Checked out. The default tab is All.
3. M-Files Web: Possibility to send check-in request:
- The user who has the object checked out will get check-in request by email.
4. M-Files Web: Redirection of classic M-Files Web collection members to M-Files Web:
- When classic M-Files Web is disabled, the existing links to collection members are now redirected to M-Files Web.
6. M-Files Desktop: Search within the current view can be set as default for built-in views:
- You can now set the "Search in current view" option as the default for temporary built-in views, which are created using the "Browse Relationships" feature in M-Files Desktop. Users can easily toggle this option on or off from the Filters tab. To enable this setting, go to M-Files Admin and navigate to "Configuration > Client > Desktop > Search > Search Bar > Default Search Options," where you'll find the option "Search within view enabled by default in built-in views."
5. M-Files Hubshare August Product Update:
- This month's Hubshare updates introduce several enhancements aimed at improving user experience. The settings have a new layout and pages, providing a more intuitive navigation experience. The term "Extension" has been replaced with "M-Files Integration" throughout the product to better reflect its functionality. Additionally, a new widget wizard has been introduced, making it easier to use M-Files connected widgets. A new type of M-Files connected widget, Charts, has also been added. Finally, the login page configuration for single-tenant servers is now fully customizable within the company hub. Check out all the details here: M-Files Hubshare August Product Update
