How to add a new Tab shortcut to views

Hi

In the Desktop client top left we have the different tabs All, Recent, Assigned etc that are shortcuts to views.

Is there any possibility to add a custom tab like the Assigned tab but with different conditions?

I thought this would be possible using the UI Extension or the Built in views under the configuration but I cannot find anything related to this?

  • M-Files Desktop doesn't have this capability yet, but you can add a view as a personal tab in M-Files Web: right-click a view or a folder in the listing area and select "Make this a tab". Next year this will become possible also in the new desktop client.

For now you can pin frequently used views so that they are available for quick access in the Pinned tab.

  • To add one more thing, just to touch on a point you raised, this is also not something which is currently extensible via the User Interface Extensibility Framework (even in the upcoming version we discussed at the recent IMPACT event).

It is certainly an interesting use-case.
