Permission error creating external Hubshare users

Good morning - I have a "sub-hub" under our company's main hub where I have internal users who are "User Managers" to allow them to manage any external users they want to add. However, when they try to add new external users and clicking "Next" they get an error "You do not have permissions to perform this operation" (see screenshot). In the background the external user is created (on the main hub) but no invitation email is sent out.

What "permission" are these users missing? I even tried giving these internal users "User Management" rights on them main hub, but that didn't work.

Many thanks - Boris

  • Hello Boris,

I just ran a test on my environment, giving "user manager" role to an internal user in a sub-hub and I was able to invite externals without any errors. It's not possible to add a sub-hub beneath the company's hub, so there's maybe a little confusion here.

Are you able to check the licensing info in the settings to see if there's no issue with that ?

When you do it (as administrator) do you face that same issue ?

    Thanks

  • Hi Abdoullah - thanks a lot for your quick answer! May be "sub-hub" is not the right term (we're new to Hubshare), but it's a Hub in our organization. When I am admin on the org and hub level, I can create external users no problem. Licensing is fine, we have enough available total licenses. This is what the user (group) setting are at this hub level:

There are internal users in that group that has full hub rights. Do those users also need to be added individually to the hub from the organization? But I tried that also and got the same error. Any suggestions?

    Many thanks,

    Boris
