Auto populate name or Title in the creator widget.

Question

Hi All, 
 In the Hubshare creator widget, I want the Name or Title metadata to be populated automatically by the name of the file being uploaded, but I can't work out a way to do it. In the views and explorer widgets, by not adding the Name or Title metadata field, this happens automatically, but obviously in the creator widget you can't do this. Does anyone have any idea how this can be achieved?

Hi Steve, 
 We have first improvement in this area coming with the March release. Please check out the product update I created earlier this week: M-Files Hubshare - March 2025 Product Update 
 We also work on another feature for April release named "Ability to have the "original file name" as a prefill option in M-Files widget filters". In short: we want to offer the ability to use the name of the file uploaded as a prefill value for any property of your choice. Hope it helps and solves your needs.
