Confirmation Request Regarding M-Files License Update

Hello,

Our reseller has informed us about the following M-Files license automation announcement:

Important Announcement - M-Files License Automation

However, our reseller has also warned us that this update must be completed no later than April 1, 2025.

As a company, we plan to continue using version 23.5 for a while. We would like to note that our license will expire on December 31, 2025.

In this regard, could you confirm whether there would be any issues if the update is not completed by April 1, 2025?

    If you are not planning any licensing changes this year (for instance getting additional user licenses) then it is enough that you update the server version and enable license automation before the current license expires. Your next license will be delivered automatically.

    I recommend starting the planning for this server update well in advance before the license expiry just in case you run into some technical issues that take time to resolve.

    Note that according to the M-Files Lifecycle Policy each release is officially supported for 24 months, so support for version 23.5 ends this May. We recommend running only supported versions of M-Files.
