  • I have a reflection about external mail source. The M-Files server had installed but, this machine have NOT installed the Outlook. The source option is set the mail import to Outlook format (msg). I start the import, but no import the mail, but no message. But I check out the Outlook format, the import is correct.

This is mainly because M-Files uses Microsoft MAPI to convert the messages to .msg format. Microsoft provides a separate MAPI package at their web site, but the functionality this package provides, is not compatible with M-Files. The required package is installed at least with Outlook 2007 client, regarding to our tests. The Office 2003 client might work as well, but this is not tested. So if you have the possibility, please install the Outlook 2003 or 2007 Client to M-Files Server machine to gain the correct MAPI version.
