The search function within the community is integrated across a few M-Files systems. In other words, when you search in the community, you'll retrieve results from both the community itself and M-Files documentation (which comprises the M-Files Customer Support Portal and M-Files Product Knowledgebase).
When you enter a term in the search field at the top of a community page:
- Before you hit return, you'll see two buttons where you can filter between community results or documentation results (i.e., Customer Support Portal & Knowledgebase).
- After you hit return, you'll see a tabbed interface with community on the left and documentation on the right.
- Either way, you can always filter community results. It is not possible to filter documentation results.
The community results you retrieve are affected by the page from which you entered the search. For example, if you enter a search term from a forum page, the community results will prioritize forums. If you enter a search while on a news & announcements page, the results will prioritize blogs.
