Our Pledge
In the interest of fostering an open and welcoming environment, we as organizers and representatives of The M-Files Community pledge to making participation a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of ethnicity, race, age, body size, disability, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
Our Guidelines for Community Participation
The M-Files Community is an online place for people to come together, ask questions, share knowledge, gain valuable insights from peers, seek support, and innovate around M-Files products. We ask all users to keep this a safe and welcoming place by following these Community Participation Guidelines. We look forward to your active participation and engagement.
All users should do the following:
- Use welcoming and inclusive language.
- Be respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences.
- Respect your own privacy and the privacy of others by prudently sharing information and adhering to all copyright laws.
- Gracefully accept constructive criticism.
- Show empathy towards other M-Files Community members.
- Maintain focus on what is best for the M-Files Community as a whole.
All users should refrain from the following:
- Using sexualized language or imagery and unwelcome sexual attention or advances.
- Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks.
- Displaying any form of public or private harassment.
- Sharing any personal data you do not want publicly available, such as home address, phone number, credit card information, etc.
- Publishing others' personally identifiable information, such as a physical or electronic address, without explicit permission.
- Posting any information that violates any contractual agreements.
- Posting any copyrighted materials without the appropriate attribution or permission from the copyright owner or author.
- Engaging in or encouraging any other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.

Our Standards
Members of the M-Files Community are expected to conduct themselves in line with all guidelines outlined in this Code of Conduct whenever interacting with M-Files employees, other M-Files Community members, or M-Files Partners. This Code of Conduct covers all communication, whether undertaken in-person (e.g. at corporate events) or online (e.g. online forums, or via email).
Our Responsibilities
Organizers and representatives of the M-Files Community are responsible for clarifying the standards of acceptable behavior and are expected to take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any instances of unacceptable behavior.
Organizers and representatives of the M-Files Community have the right and responsibility to proactively or retroactively administer any electronic submissions (e.g. message board posts, online comments, code submissions, wiki edits, issues, and other such contributions) that are not aligned to this Code of Conduct, or to ban temporarily or permanently any member for other behaviors that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.
Enforcement
Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting the Global Community Manager at community@m-files.com. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated and will result in a response that is deemed necessary and appropriate to the circumstances. The M-Files Community team is obligated to maintain confidentiality with respect to the reporter of an incident. Further details of specific enforcement policies may be posted separately.
