One of the primary goals of the M-Files Community is to connect users with one another. There are several ways of connecting with others:
Following
You don't need a member's permission to follow them, though they will be notified that you're following. Follow to see how they participate on the Community, learn from their actions, and improve your own visibility.
To follow, click the connect button on the other member's profile page. Click follow from the list, or unfollow to stop following. 
Friending
You need the other member's permission to friend them. Once you do, you will both be following each other, and your friendship may appear on an activity stream. You'll also appear on each other's friend section of the profile page.
To friend, click the connect button on the other member's profile page. Click friend, and then send the request message. Click unfriend to revoke the friendship. The other member will not be notified when you unfriend.
